Good afternoon! Hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to your week ahead!! The beautiful weather has departed and we are having rain, rain and more rain. It can be very hard to get motivated on days like this but we just gotta make that choice to move and be healthy!!
Gym photo today is with my friend Leah. YES, she is on my right because that is the side she was on the first time we ran on the treadmill together. Bailey was not able to hit the gym today so Leah brought me and agreed to be in the photo. Very nice of her!!
Today is one of those days when skipping the gym can seem like a great option. Cold and rainy and sitting on the couch with a blanket is certainly more appealing. Yet in the end we know the couch isn’t going to help us get to where we want to be goal wise. As I mentioned earlier, we have to make the choice. I decide every evening that I am going to exercise the next day. It really is not an option. Just like I iron my husband and daughters clothes each night, they don’t have a choice – they’re wearing what I set out. Believe me there are times when coming up with a good reason to skip the gym crosses my mind. I believe I said this when I first started my blog – set a gym/exercise schedule you can stick with. I got that from Bob Greene. If you know that you need a day off Mon. thru Fri., then tell yourself you are going to exercise four days during the week. You don’t want to discourage yourself. Talk yourself through things, I do it all the time.
