My daughter is out of school in 8 1/2 days. 8 more school days and then I don’t have to be up at 6 am in the morning. Oh wait! My dog, Millie. How do I teach her that school is out? I was up at 6:15 this morning because I could no longer brush off her pawing at me. Before you start feeling sorry for her thinking, poor puppy has to pee – No she doesn’t. She just wants to be up. She wants to sit in the doorway and people, bird and squirrel watch. Eventually she goes out to potty but she could have let me sleep until 7:30 – that’s about the time she finally goes out into the yard. Crazy pup, my husband, daughter and I adore her.
We are off to dance team try-outs shortly. My daughter is wrapping up her 6th year of dance, the last two years have been on the dance team. She gets a touch nervous so I get nervous for her. She loves it and wants it so bad, that makes it hard for us as parents doesn’t it? Nothing I can do for her but encourage, she’s gotta be the one to make it happen. She knows it too. That is what we are up to on this Saturday morning.
Later today we have an appointment with Tony Horton and his P90x 2 program. I know my friend Stacey is tired from her busy day yesterday but she will be here. It is starting to feel like actual summertime here in the USA so lets all get ourselves heading in the right direction. When it comes down to it, we all know what we have to do to get healthy. The hardest part is getting started. Eating healthy and moving, that is how it works. Set reasonable goals, don’t set your goals at a crazy level like I have in the past with a ridiculous goal of 138. I am 5′ 6 1/2″ according to my Dr.’s, I’ve always said 5′ 7″. For my height and with the muscle I’ve gained through my workouts, that weight is a good stretch. We need to focus on how we feel about ourselves and be happy with the way we look. My choice is positive attitude and health. How about you?
